Dinner Party Fun

 Processed with Moldiv

Last weekend I had a dinner party which ended up being a serious amount of fun. A few bottles of Champagne, and all the guests at the table where roaring with laughter and licking their lips with delight. My intention for this party was to take the food to the next level in presentation and deliciousness. Here is a sneak peek at what I made.

Butternut and sage ravioli with a burnt sage butter and home grown micro greens.

Fennel and bay roasted pork belly (slow roasted for 4 hours!) with potatoes 2 ways (mash and roasted) a silky fennel puree and lightly steamed micro veggies. Oh, and don’t forget plenty crispy pork crackling on the top.

Caramel chocolate mousse towers with vanilla macaroons, fresh strawberries and mint.

I decorated the table in a very simple manner, some red Nandinas from the garden with bunches of gorgeous proteas . Battery operated fairy lights lined the centre of the table, and I added a sprinkling of diamante to catch the light.
